We were honoured to host the Pacific Group Annual General Meeting on Monday and Tuesday, 12th and 13th of May.  Most of the Wings in B.C. were represented as well as two Wings from California....from 900  (Golden Bear) Wing, San Francisco Area,  California Regional Vice President, Sam Cramb and wife Billie and from ( Aero Camino) Wing, Santa Barbara Area, Wing First Vice President, Jim (Sea Level) Thompson. 

We started with an enjoyable Meet 'n Greet on Monday evening, enjoying 101's delicious fish & chips (do these guys ever tire???)  Business was conducted in a timely manner on Tuesday, although there are still several vacant executive positions to be filled…Secretary-Treasurer, 1st Vice President and 2nd Vice-President.  It is anticipated that this problem will be resolved prior to 1st July.  We rounded off the two day meeting with a Dinner Dance and presentation of awards on Tuesday evening.  Many thanks to all who made this such a successful event.

Awards:

Pacific Group's "Couple of the Year" award went to Don & Jan Hogan.  They have been dedicated volunteers not only in 888 Wing but with 386 Sqn. Air Cadets for many years.

Vic Nordquist, President of 801 Vancouver Wing was the recipient of Pacific Group's 'Member of the Year' award.  Vic has been extremely active in many areas over the years.  Unfortunately, due to the passing of his wife, he was unable to attend and the award was accepted on his behalf by Regional Vice President, Lower Mainland, Reg Dawes.  Our condolences go out to Vic and to his family.

Dick Woodman was awarded National's "Award of Distinction" for his year's of dedication to the Association and in particular, to 888 Wing.

Daryl Wright was awarded National's "Award of Merit" for his years as 888 Wing Treasurer.
